A letter from the Consultant Paramedic

As a paramedic, you’ll appreciate how much our role has changed and developed. What sets us apart at the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is just how much being a paramedic here means. The east of England is a fascinating and surprisingly diverse region in which to work - from busy cities, through to glorious coastlines and large expanses of countryside. Our paramedics appreciate those differences and take the time to adapt their skills. We aim to build a bespoke service, which deals with the unique challenges of each individual area.

We offer our people a strong clinical focus, twinned with genuine support for initiative. Care is at the heart of everything we do. As a Trust we have many challenges, but we also have plenty of opportunities. On a personal note, I’m proud that we created the Consultant Paramedic post. It’s an example of the forward-thinking approach that we aim to foster.
